Retro Console Repair done properly, the first time.
Old consoles do not die of old age so much as worn-out parts: capacitors dry, thermal compound hardens, disc drives and lasers wear, and 1990s handhelds are still running on their original batteries. We repair classics properly — board-level diagnosis, honest recap work and correct replacement parts — because most of it cannot be replaced at a store anymore.
Xbox 360 consoles that show the Red Ring of Death, freeze or overheat are diagnosed for the actual cause — failing capacitors, power regulation, GPU thermals or a cracked solder joint — and then repaired and stress-tested rather than simply wrapped in fresh paste and returned. The 360 disc drive is paired to the motherboard, so drives we replace are matched to your console so your games and saves still work.
PlayStation 3 consoles with the Yellow Light of Death, overheating shutdowns or a Blu-ray drive that no longer reads are serviced with thermal repair, recap work and drive replacement. Wii and Wii U disc drives, laser assemblies and video output faults are repaired too, and on handhelds we replace batteries, screens and shells for Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, DS and 3DS systems while keeping the original hardware intact. Controller stick rebuilds for N64, GameCube and 360 pads are also available.
